Alamo Enrichment programs offer many choices for before and afterschool enrichment classes for your children. The classes were offered based on results from parent surveys conducted in spring 2011. The Friends of Alamo School Foundation supports the operation of our enrichment programming.

8 weeks of creative explorations in clay for 1st – 5th graders
- Tuesdays 3 to 4pm – 11/13 to 1/22 – grades 2 & 3
- Wednesdays 3 to 4pm - 11/14 to 1/23 – grades 3, 4 & 5
- Thursdays 3 to 4pm – 11/15 to 1/24 – grades 1 & 2
- Fridays 3 to 4pm – 11/16 to 1/25 - grades 1, 2 & 3
Room 116, mezzanine level. Class size is limited to 12. Late Fall 2012 session open to grades 1-5, (closed to Kindergarteners for the fall, available again to Ks after winter break). Note, this session Wednesdays are also open to 3rd GRADERS.
Classes are run by Alamo artist-in-residence, Deborah Hoch. 8 Weekly 1-hour ceramics classes will expand on skills learned in K-5 classroom ceramics and give 1st – 5th graders a chance to more fully develop their ideas and create more complex works of art. Projects for all grade levels will include slab work and hand built sculpture and pottery.
Fee: $100. includes materials.

Come Dance With Us! You’ve seen the moves, bounced to the beats, and watched the energetic performances during the school day. Nagata Dance now offers an after school class for everyone at Alamo! Join in with your friends for the fun and the funk!
8 class series starting September 17 and ending on November 26 with a performance for loved ones! (class dates: 9/17 & 24, 10/1, 15, 22 & 29, 11/5 & 26. these dates accommodate holidays and there is no class early dismissal week). Check out NagataDance.com for additional information.
Chorus with Kat Sena
Fall 2012 session registration will begin after the mandatory orientation meeting 9/7/12. Then you may sign up here.
The Alamo Friendship Chorus is open to students in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, with each member applying and auditioning to join. They perform for the Alamo community, as well as hospitals, and community centers to spread the spirit of music. Students grade 3 to 5 interested in joining this year’s chorus MUST attend the orientation meeting, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, at 8:00AM in the auditorium. Applications and details about signing up will be presented. Parents welcome!
Chorus meets at 8:00AM M-W-F. Fee: $80.

Grades K-1 – Tuesdays 3 to 4 pm (limited to 16)
Grades 2-3 – Wednesdays 3 to 4pm (limited to 16)
Grades 4-5 – Thursdays 3 to 4pm (limited to 16)
6 weekly 1-hour classes introducing and/or enhancing the children’s core skills of passing, shooting, dribbling, ball control, teamwork and communication. The emphasis of the program will be a cardiovascular workout in a fun, controlled environment. Sports to include soccer, basketball and kickball. No class during Thanksgiving week, and during parent-teacher conference weeks classes will be held from 2 to 3pm.
Fee: $60 per session.

Alamo’s after school Spanish program provides introductory level language instruction in a small group setting. Our fun class uses music, games, crafts and storytelling to engage students in Spanish and new cultures. Our fluent instructor has great experience with elementary age students.
18 class series starts Monday, September 24 and ends Friday, December 14, 2012. (no class 10/8, 10/26, 11/12, 11/16, 11/19, & 11/23 due to holidays, Carnival & early dismissal). **please note that this is the corrected schedule, the flyer was incorrect.
